LOCAL 786 FIRST OBSERVER TRAINING A SUCCESS

On Monday, January 11, 2010 over 80 Local 786 members participated in First Observer Training held at Teamster City. Mark Johnson, from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Department of Training and Development, instructed the members on the importance of the training as the first defense in defending our country against acts of terrorism. The Teamsters Union and its membership have a long and proud history of being at the forefront of important issues both at home and abroad, and Local 786 is proud to be the first Local under the jurisdiction of Joint Council #25 to provide this training for its members. The training will put valuable trained eyes on the roads of the Chicagoland area, helping both Homeland Security and Local officials to keep our safer from terrorist acts. Local 786 will continue to strive to provide our membership with the training they need that will keep our members the best trained and most qualified Teamsters available.
